Terms of Service

Welcome to Babbl Baby! These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a supplement to Apple's standard End User License Agreement and govern your use of the Babbl Baby app and related services. By using Babbl Baby, you agree to these Terms.

Babbl Baby is provided by Babbl Baby LLC ("we", "us", "our").

1. What Babbl Baby Does

Babbl Baby is a baby tracking app that helps parents and caregivers log and review daily care events — feeding, sleep, diaper changes, health, growth, and more — through a conversational AI assistant. The app also provides analytics, charts, and insights based on the data you log.

2. AI-Powered Features

What this means for your data: When you send a message in the chat, your message and relevant context (such as your child's name and age) are sent to OpenAI or Anthropic for processing. Neither provider uses your data to train their models. Your messages are processed solely to generate a response and are not retained beyond what is needed to provide the service.

AI limitations: The AI assistant may occasionally misunderstand your message, log incorrect details, or provide inaccurate information. We encourage you to review logged events for accuracy. You can edit or delete any event at any time.

3. Not Medical Advice

Babbl Baby is an informational tool for tracking your baby's care. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The app may display health-related information such as growth percentiles, immunization schedules, and temperature history. This information is for your reference only and is based on general guidelines from organizations like the AAP, CDC, and WHO. Every child is different.

Always consult your pediatrician or a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions, concerns about your child's health, or before acting on any information displayed in the app. If your child is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

4. Your Data

What we collect: Baby care events you log (feeding, sleep, diapers, health, growth, etc.), child profiles (name, date of birth, sex), your account information, and your chat messages with the AI assistant.

Where it's stored: Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure located in the United States, using industry-standard encryption and security practices.

How we use third-party services:

• AI processing (OpenAI and Anthropic) — your chat messages are sent to OpenAI or Anthropic to power the assistant. Neither provider trains on your data.
• Cloud storage — your account, children's profiles, and logged events are stored using a secure cloud database service.
• App improvement — we collect anonymized usage data and crash reports to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you or your children.

What we don't do: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or your children's data with advertisers or data brokers. Ever.

Deleting your data: You can delete individual events and children's data directly within the app. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at support@babblbaby.ai. We will process account deletion requests within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

Babbl Baby is designed for use by parents and caregivers aged 13 and older. The app is not intended for use by children.

While the app stores information about children (your babies), this information is entered and controlled by you, the parent or caregiver. We treat all children's data with the highest level of care and do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's core functionality to you.

6. Family Sharing

What shared members can see: All members of a family can view events logged by any family member. Parents (Mother/Father roles) can access all data including medical analytics. Other members (Babysitter, etc.) can log daily care events but cannot view medical data.

Your responsibility: Only invite people you trust. We are not responsible for how invited members use or share the information they access through the app.

7. Subscriptions

Babbl Baby offers subscription plans billed through Apple's App Store. All subscription billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are managed by Apple according to Apple's terms. To manage your subscription, go to your Apple ID settings.

Free trial terms, if offered, are managed by Apple and will be clearly displayed before you subscribe.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Create accounts with false information
• Share your account credentials with others (use Family Sharing to add caregivers instead)

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Babbl Baby is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep the app reliable and accurate, but we make no guarantees that:

• The app will be available at all times without interruption
• The AI assistant will always understand your messages correctly
• Data, analytics, or insights will be error-free
• Growth percentiles, immunization schedules, or other health references will be current or complete

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Babbl Baby LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of Babbl Baby after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
